Agilent Technologies launches Infinity 1290 Quaternary LC System

20th April 2012

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of a revolutionary quaternary ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system that offers unprecedented accuracy and versatility.

The Infinity 1290 Quaternary LC System incorporates an Agilent 1290 Infinity Quaternary pump, 1290 Infinity diode-array detector, 1290 Infinity Autosampler and the 1290 Infinity Thermostated Column Compartment.

Between them, these modules provide a wide array of benefits, including high maximum pressure and flow rates, active damping features, strong ultraviolet sensitivity and baseline robustness, and rapid spectral acquisition.

According to the manufacturer, this is the first UHPLC system to combine the accuracy and precision of binary systems with the full flexibility of a quaternary setup.

Fred Strohmeier, Agilent's vice-president and general manager of the liquid phase analysis division, said: "This is the most versatile LC system in existence."

This week, the company also introduced its new Agilent 1290 Infinity 2D-LC solution for comprehensive and heart-cutting two-dimensional separations.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801345343-ADNFCR
