Just Health PR wins ViiV Healthcare contract
Just Health PR has been hired by ViiV Healthcare to carry out a new consultation scheme aimed at finding ways of improving standards of HIV care in the UK.
The media agency has been engaged to develop an integrated political and public relations initiative that will solicit the views of policymakers, charities, patients and clinicians on new approaches to reforming services provided to HIV sufferers.
ViiV, which was founded by GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer in 2009 to create new HIV treatments, believes this project is necessary due to the increasing burden created by the disease in the UK.
Senior consultant Laura Chambers and new head of political relations Jon Spiers will be tasked with leading the account.
Mr Spiers said: "Given the financial pressures on the NHS and the ongoing debate around health service reforms, there couldn't be a better time to think about how to deliver the best possible HIV services."
Just Health PR hired Mr Spiers from Cancer Research UK earlier this year as it seeks to expand its capabilities in the area of public affairs.
