Thermo Fisher Scientific introduces new mass spectrometry innovations
Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced new mass spectrometry innovations at the recent American Society for Mass Spectrometry annual conference.
At the event in Vancouver earlier this month, the company launched a new suite of software that enhances its LTQ Orbitrap hybrid platform, while also advancing the Elite and Q Exactive mass spectrometer devices.
Thermo Fisher's new Sieve 2.0, ExactFinder 2.0 and Protein Deconvolution software options offer various benefits in terms of improved throughput, analysis time and data quality.
Meanwhile, the firm also provided a debut for its Exactive Plus liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry tool and TSQ 8000 high-performance gas chromatography-mass spectrometry system during the event.
Marc Casper, president and chief executive officer of Thermo Fisher, said: "Our leading mass spectrometry technologies are consistently enabling our customers' important discoveries in medical research and meeting their growing needs for environmental and consumer safety testing."
This comes after the company launched its new Thermo Scientific Nicolet iS50 FT-IR spectrometer with one-touch operation earlier this month.
