Shire announces new senior promotions
Shire has announced that veteran employees David Colpman and Ann Judge have been selected for new roles within its senior leadership structure.
Mr Colpman has taken up the role of senior vice-president in charge of leading the company's global business development team as of the beginning of the month, building on his more than 12 years of experience working for Shire.
During this time, he has taken the lead on many significant Shire deals, while past employers include Novo Nordisk, Boots, Glaxo Wellcome and ICI.
Meanwhile, Ms Judge – the senior vice-president of Shire's global human resources – has joined the corporate leadership team after serving with the business for more than two decades.
Coinciding with these appointments, Shire's executive vice-president and chief corporate development officer Barbara Deptula has announced her retirement from the company, effective as of June 29th 2012.
Last month, the company attended the annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association, where it presented new clinical data on various products, including Vyvanse and Intuniv.
