Advanced Medical Solutions highlights strong growth

Advanced Medical Solutions has highlighted the strong progress it is making towards its business goals during its annual general meeting for 2012.

Dr Don Evans, non-executive chairman of the group, has stated that the good start to the year highlighted in its 2011 preliminary results is continuing, with its integration of the recently-acquired Resorba proceeding as planned.

The company has completed its first NHS tender for the Resorba product range, with the outcome of this expected later this year, while the introduction of the LiquiBand brand to the US is also meeting with success.

Other positive developments include the strong performance of the ActivHeal range and the planned launch of new trilaminate foam dressings in the second half of the year.

Dr Evans added: "The long-term prospects for the group remain excellent and we look forward to the coming months with confidence."

Last year, the company generated sales of 34.4 million pounds, which represented an eight percent year-on-year increase compared to 2010.
