Hotwire confirms departure of chairman and founder
Hotwire has announced the imminent departure of Kristin Syltevik, its chairman and founder.
The firm has confirmed via PRWeek that Ms Syltevik will leave the media agency she helped to establish at the end of July 2012, with Hotwire currently having no plans to replace her.
Hotwire was founded by Ms Syltevik in 2000, leveraging her extensive expertise in technology PR obtained over the course of a long career advising numerous blue-chip companies and entrepreneurial start-ups.
Prior to setting up Hotwire, the business leader acted as managing director of Shandwick's European technology practice.
Hotwire chief executive officer Brendon Craigie said: "She has helped build an incredible PR consultancy and a very experienced global management team, and she leaves the company in great shape."
Over the years, the company has grown substantially in global scale and now operates offices in Europe, the Americas, Australasia, Asia and the Middle East, with its UK base located in London.
