Waters and Nonlinear Dynamics to create analytical solutions

15th August 2012

Waters has announced a new alliance with Nonlinear Dynamics focusing on the creation of new methods of analysing complex datasets generated by large-scale proteomics and metabolomics experiments.

The companies will be combining their expertise in analytical science and informatics with the aim of developing new research solutions that will accelerate the pace of discoveries.

Past collaboration efforts between the firms have already led to the development of the Waters Omics Research Platform, which combines the Waters Synapt G2-S HDMS with Nonlinear Dynamics' TransOmics Informatics technology.

Through this alliance, the partners hope to make it easier for researchers to manage the large quantities of data generated by their experiments.

Dr James Langridge, director of pharmaceutical and life sciences discovery at Waters, said: "The complexity of biological samples is so great that the sensitivity and specificity of analytical techniques required for biological discovery presents scientists with significant challenges when it comes to managing experimental data."

In June 2012, the company announced that it has broken ground on its new mass spectrometry facility construction project in Wilmslow, which will be completed in 2014.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801429866-ADNFCR
