Source BioScience appoints new board member

Source BioScience has announced the appointment of financial director Robert Bakewell to the group's board.

He qualified as a chartered management accountant in 1996 and prior to joining Source worked as a finance controller at DCS Group.

Mr Bakewell joined the firm in 2005 and has played a key role in the expansion and consolidation of the company's finance functions in recent years, with his promotion coinciding with the departure of non-executive director Rob Slinger, who is stepping down from the board after more than eight years of service.

Laurie Turnbull, chairman of the company, commented: "His appointment will strengthen the range of financial and regulatory expertise available to the board as it continues with the implementation of the group's growth strategy."

Earlier this week, Source released its half-year results for the first six months of 2012, highlighting an 11 percent increase in revenue for the period to 8.4 million pounds in comparison to the same period in 2011.
