Molnlycke launches Biogel PI Pro-Fit surgical glove

Molnlycke has announced the launch of its comfortable and user-friendly new surgical glove Biogel PI Pro-Fit.

The synthetic, powder-free, sterile, polyisoprene glove has been specially designed to offer levels of comfort typically associated with natural rubber latex, allowing hand and thumb fatigue to be reduced.

Each glove has been air inflation-tested for quality, while they also provide an industry-leading Acceptable Quality Level score of 0.651, meaning any chances of holes or tears are reduced.

Biohel PI Pro-Fit can be used alone or as an overglove with Biogel PI OrthoPro and is recommended as an option for surgeries where latex allergies are a potential concern for patients or clinicians.

The manufacturer said: "Designed with an innovative biomechanically optimised former, Biogel PI Pro-Fit helps prevent hand fatigue during surgery."

Earlier this year, Molnlycke announced the acquisition of woundEL, a new electrical stimulation-based wound healing product from Gerromed, and is initiating plans to carry out clinical investigations of the technology.
