Agilent and Molecular Discovery agree co-marketing deal

21st September 2012

Agilent Technologies has signed a co-marketing agreement with Molecular Discovery that will combine the metabolite identification/analysis capabilities of the companies.

The organisations will jointly market the combined assets of Agilent's high-resolution liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry technology and Molecular Discovery's Mass-MetaSite software, which can enable superior identification and analysis of complex biological mixtures.

This combination of complementary technology provides customers with a turnkey solution bridging the gap between sophisticated laboratory software and hardware capabilities, greatly facilitating data analysis functions among drug research and discovery experts.

Gus Salem, vice-president and general manager of Agilent's biological systems division, said: "Our combined industry-leading technologies will now give them faster, more accurate data and the confidence they need to ensure the safety of their products much earlier in the preclinical phase of development."

Earlier this month, the company announced that it will be supplying key nuclear magnetic resonance components for the Vantera Clinical Analyzer from LipoScience.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801454279-ADNFCR
