Idexx Laboratories introduces new features for haematology analysers
Idexx Laboratories has announced the introduction of several new diagnostic testing features for its haematology analysis devices.
The ProCyte Dx and LaserCyte haematology analysers are being upgraded to run using substances such as abdominal and thoracic fluids, with the ProCyte Dx device adding the ability to receive diagnostic information on band, or immature, neutrophils and nucleated red blood cells.
Moreover, the ProCyte Dx is receiving the validated capability to run several additional species, including rabbit, gerbil and swine, while the LaserCyte adds ferret and swine to its compatibility list.
Both devices will continue to be backed by high-calibre customer service from Idexx and continuous innovation.
Dennis DeNicola, Idexx's chief veterinary educator, said: "We can now provide veterinarians with an even more complete data set within minutes during patient visits to assist in better patient outcomes and improved client experiences."
Earlier this month, the company received a certification from the AOAC Research Institute for its Snap Beta-Lactam ST Test, which is used in antibiotic residue analysis in milk.
