3M innovation exhibition targets young students

9th October 2012

3M has held a special exhibition aimed at promoting the study of science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem) subjects in the UK.

The diversified technology company hoped to encourage more young people to become innovators in these fields, which is likely to have positive implications for medical progression and products in the future.

On display at the event were a number of new technologies, which have been designed to provide solutions for different sectors, including healthcare and industry.

John Klee of 3M noted companies are increasingly on the lookout for talented individuals possessing the required skill set.

Mr Klee stated: "We demonstrated an array of highly visual technologies, which we knew would have a real wow factor for the students and we got a tremendous response."

He added people could be enthused to follow in the footsteps of innovators after having enjoyed a hands-on experience of the latest advances in the technological and medical worlds.
