Agilent and Premier Biosoft to collaborate on lipidomics
Agilent Technologies and Premier Biosoft have announced a collaboration that will give advance lipidomics researchers access to an integrated offering.
The technology alliance will see each company supporting the combined use of their respective products, including Agilent's time-of-flight mass spectrometers and Pathway Architect software and Premier Biosoft's SimLipid 3.3 identification and quantification software.
Using this combination, researchers can seamlessly generate and process data, allowing them to map complex lipidomic networks in order to learn more about lipid metabolism associated with disease.
Dr Daniel Kassel, Agilent's senior director of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry global marketing, said: "Researchers can be confident in the analytical strength they have come to expect from Agilent and from the advanced lipid identification capabilities provided in Premier Biosoft's SimLipid software."
Last week, Agilent announced that it has also agreed a new licensing deal that will allow life science company BioDiscovery to incorporate compatibility with Agilent SureFISH probes directly into its Nexus software system for genomic analysis.
