UK agencies claim 26 nominations for Global Awards
The nominees for the 2012 Global Awards, which recognise creative and marketing excellence in worldwide healthcare communications, have been announced ahead of the December 6th presentation ceremony.
A total 177 finalists from 17 countries around the globe were named, with 26 coming from the UK, making it the third best-represented nation after the US and Australia.
Nominated British agencies included Langland, which received more nominations that any other company with 17, while firms such as Sudler London, McCann Health and Publicis Life Brands Resolute also received nods.
Langland was also one of the most decorated agencies at the 2011 awards, claiming eight accolades overall.
This year, winners will be decided based on votes from a judging panel that included representatives from agencies including CAHG, Global Healthcare and Saatchi and Saatchi Health.
Chet Moss, a grand jury member and chief creative officer at ICC Lowe, said: "Tactical. Experiential. Environmental. Socially-aware, socially-conscious, socially-active. Those were the hallmarks of the 2012 Global Awards for me."
