ALK Abello meets expectations in first nine months of 2012
ALK Abello has stated that it remains on target to meet its financial goals for 2012 based on its performance in the first nine months of the year.
Data from the company's latest interim fiscal report shows that its revenues in the third quarter of 2012 rose by 17 percent year over year, thanks to income from its partners and strong sales of its product Jext.
Operating profits during the quarter met expectations and the firm remains on course to deliver a revenue total for the year of around 2.4 billion Danish kroner (257.36 million pounds).
Important progress has been achieved in ALK Abello's strategic alliances with Merck Sharpe and Dohme in North America and Torii in Japan, with phase III data reported last month demonstrating the benefits of its new grass allergy immunotherapy tablet.
The interim report also added that an updated strategy plan has been adopted by the organisation's board of directors and its long-term financial objectives for 2012 remain unchanged.
