Superdrug launches UK advertising review

15th November 2012

Superdrug has launched a review of its UK advertising account, which is estimated to be worth around five million pounds.

The country's second-largest health and beauty retailer has opened talks with a number of PR agencies as part of the early stages of this process, reports Campaign.

HMDG has handled the company's advertising campaigns since winning the account in August 2010, helping Superdrug to devise a high-profile marketing initiative starring Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page.

Meanwhile, ZenithOptimedia is in charge of the combined UK media planning and buying account for Superdrug and its sister brand The Perfume Shop, having retained the brief in February 2012.

Owned by the international retail group AS Watson, Superdrug operates more than 900 stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, as well as possessing a total of 226 in-store pharmacies.

It recently agreed a partnership with the parenting support club Bounty that allows it to access the organisation's database of members.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801488562-ADNFCR
