Siemens launches advanced new Acuson X700 ultrasound system

Siemens has announced the launch of the Acuson X700, an advanced ultrasound system that delivers sophisticated features in an affordable package.

Part of the Acuson X family of ultrasound systems, the device features many of the technologies from the company's premium Acuson S range, including advanced SieClear spatial compounding and dynamic tissue contrast enhancement.

It also incorporates patented MicroPinless transducer connectors to provide the highest signal fidelity and improve the signal-to-noise ratio, plus intelligent workflow solutions to enable the high throughputs required by scientists.

The device is being showcased this week at the Medica 2012 industry conference taking place in Dusseldorf.

The manufacturer said: "Siemens Healthcare has developed a powerful ultrasound system that offers exceptional image quality, robust technologies and intelligent workflow solutions at an excellent price/performance ratio."

Earlier this month, the firm launched the Acuson P300m, a portable ultrasound device that provides fast and effective performance with a small physical footprint.
