Olympus launches new IX3 series optical modules

22nd August 2013

Olympus has announced the launch of a new range of compatible interchangeable optical modules for the IX3 inverted microscope frame.

The new devices allow the fully customisable microscope frame to be optimised for a wider range of live cell imaging applications – including in vitro fertilisation – with motorised functionality for accuracy and easy operation.

Included in the new range are a motorised right-side port with C-mount, an optical breadboard deck adaptor platform, an excitation light measurement module, a dedicated motorised middle long working distance condenser and a DIC prism slider.

This adds to the existing benefits of the IX3 microscope, which provides a swappable deck design to allow modules to be easily exchanged into the accessible infinite light path.

The company said: "The ever-expanding range of optical modules for the Olympus IX3 series allows the microscope systems to continue to grow alongside evolving demands of the research environment."

Olympus recently confirmed that it will be showcasing its new range of dedicated microscopy solutions at the European Congress of Pathology in Portugal at the end of the month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801628554-ADNFCR
