Speed Communications’ managing director departs agency
Speed Communications has confirmed the departure of Scott McLean, its joint managing director (MD).
Mr McLean left his position at the company towards the end of September 2013 and is now operating as an independent communications consultant, leaving Kate Bosomworth as the sole MD of the agency.
The pair took charge of managing Speed following the departures of Stephen Waddington and Steve Earl in September 2012, with both staff members boasting considerable industry experience.
A former journalist for the Daily Mail and Croydon Advertiser, Mr McLean was previously deputy MD and responsible for leading Speed's corporate activities, while Ms Bosomworth joined Speed after it acquired her agency KTB PR last year.
Other key members of the Speed Communications leadership team include directors John Brown, Nicola Harrison and Ruth Jones.
Based in London, Speed works with a wide variety of high-profile clients, including Adidas, Clintons, Toshiba, The Economist, Tesco, Unisys and Virgin Media Business.
