Norbrook Laboratories included in Sunday Times Top Track List

Norbrook Laboratories has been included in the 2013 Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, a league table of the UK's leading mid-market private companies.

The prestigious list has been published for the ninth time this year and includes privately-owned companies that have increased sales or profits by at least ten per cent year on year, ranked by their overall turnover.

Norbrook jumped 55 places to 156th position in 2013 thanks to a sales increase of 12 percent and a seven percent rise in profits, making it one of only ten companies from Northern Ireland to feature on the list.

Lord Ballyedmond, founder of Norbrook Laboratories, said: "Despite difficult global economic trading conditions, we continue expand our operations and prosper based on our high standard of manufacturing techniques."

The firm is world-renowned for its achievements in the pharmaceutical industry and excellence in animal health, employing around 4,000 people worldwide.

In August 2013, the company launched a new apprenticeship scheme to provide job opportunities to young people in the greater Newry area.
