Creston Health purchases Liberation Communications
Creston Health has confirmed the completion of its acquisition of the pharmaceutical PR agency Liberation Communications.
The group purchased Liberation in August 2013, with the agency now being led by Creston's director of consumer health Julia Harries, following the departure of agency founder Cherry Wood, report PRWeek.
Ms Wood left Athena Medical Communications in late 2008 to found Liberation the following year and recently completed a two-year term as chair of the Healthcare Communications Association, but is now believed to have left the industry.
However, she was actively involved in the transition in ownership, with all of Liberation's clients and team remaining with the organisation following Creston's takeover.
Creston's head of health Catherine Warne said: "The addition of Liberation to the Creston Health Group enables Creston to achieve its ambitions for growth and adds a different dynamic to the existing healthcare specialist companies working within the group."
A wide range of healthcare agencies work under the Creston Health banner, including PAN, Red Door Communications, Rock Medical Communications and DJM.
