Henry Schein names global practice solutions head

Henry Schein has announced that Steve Klis has joined the company in the new role of president of global practice solutions.

Mr Klis has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare information technology and services industry, spending the last decade serving in various key roles at CareFusion, while prior to this he was employed by Siemens Medical.

In his newly-created position at Henry Schein, he will lead strategic and operational activities at the company's global practice solutions business, offering customisable practice management software solutions to help practitioners enhance their business and patient care standards.

Jim Harding, senior vice-president and chief technology officer for Henry Schein, said Mr Klis will help the company to "share technology best practices across market segments and country borders, with the goal of helping our customers increase practice efficiency and provide higher quality patient care".

This week, the company is attending the European Association for Osseointegration scientific congress in Dublin, where it will be showcasing its dental practice solution ConnectDental.
