Baxter underlines sustainability measures and strong working practices

Baxter has highlighted the recent progress it has made on delivering a better working environment for its staff, while also enhancing its commitment to sustainability.

The company recently added three new Business Resource Groups to raise multicultural awareness, develop employees to reach their potential, provide outreach to diverse community partners and enable better connections with patients and business partners.

It also held its BeWell Baxter Global Exercise Challenge, an initiative that saw 11,000 Baxter employees from around the world exercising for more than ten million minutes as part of a month-long event aimed at promoting health and wellbeing among its workforce.

This comes after the firm was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Dow Jones Sustainability North America Indices for the 15th consecutive year, while claiming the Golden Peacock Global Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance for 2013.

All of this serves to underline the commitment of Baxter to operating in a responsible manner and protecting the environment.

It comes after the company published its financial results for the third quarter of 2013 last week, revealing that it experienced a nine percent year-on-year sales increase during the period.
