The Social Kinetic appointed for NHS innovation brief
The Social Kinetic has been handed a new NHS contract that will see it tasked with devising radical new approaches to communications on behalf of the health service.
NHS Horizon – a unit created to scout out the best healthcare ideas from around the world – has recruited the specialist comms agency as it seeks to make the health service more sustainable, at a time when the population is ageing and chronic diseases are becoming more prevalent.
It is hoped that The Social Kinetic can help the NHS behave more like technology leaders such as Google, which draws on the best internal and external expertise and invests time and money into innovation, reports PRWeek.
The agency also won a separate brief from the NHS Improving Quality team to promote the NHS England Innovation Challenge, which provides cash incentives for groundbreaking ideas.
Claire Cater, founder of The Social Kinetic, said: "We need to think of radical and different new ways in which to save money and make things better for the patient."
The Social Kinetic has also previously worked with leading organisations such as Vodafone, NatWest, KPMG, AstraZeneca and Deloitte.
