Takeda to present new product data at ASH 2013
Takeda has announced that it will be attending the forthcoming American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting in New Orleans from December 7th to 10th 2013.
During the event, the company will present 118 abstracts involving five molecules in its portfolio, including presentations for injectable Velcade and Adcetris and three of the company's pipeline agents.
The Velcade presentations will include an analysis of overall survival from the Vista trial in previously untreated multiple myeloma, while long-term survival updates will be given for Adcetris in relapsed/refractory Hodgkin lymphoma and relapsed/refractory anaplastic large-cell lymphoma.
Other compounds to be discussed include MLN9708, the first oral proteasome inhibitor to enter phase III development.
Dr Michael Vasconcelles, head of the oncology therapeutic area unit of Takeda, said: "Data for these products, as well as agents in the Takeda pipeline such as MLN9708, are providing meaningful insights in defining optimal therapy for a wide range of haematologic malignancies."
This week, the company also announced the appointment of Phillip Duncan as its new chief procurement officer, effective as of the start of next month.
