Petplan hires Gyles Brandreth to host 2014 Veterinary Awards

Petplan has announced that broadcaster and media personality Gyles Brandreth will be returning to host the 2014 Petplan Veterinary Awards.

Mr Brandreth – a writer, TV presenter, radio contributor and former Conservative MP – will be compering the event at Birmingham Town Hall on April 3rd 2014, following the success of his hosting performance at the 2013 show.

The Petplan Veterinary Awards will be taking place for the 15th year in 2014, with categories including vet of the year, vet nurse of the year, vet practice of the year, practice manager of the year and Petplan insurance advisor of the year.

Mr Brandreth noted that his son-in-law is a member of the animal health profession, while noting his admiration for their hard work and dedication to the job.

Simon Masding, Petplan's head of sales and partnerships, said: "We are delighted to have him return once again to host the proceedings and share his humorous insight into the veterinary world, which delighted last year's audience."
