Align Technology to introduce new Invisalign G5 features
Align Technology has announced the upcoming release of several innovative new features for Invisalign, its low-visibility treatment for the misalignment of teeth.
The Invisalign G5 innovations are specifically designed for the treatment of deep bite malocclusions and include SmartForce attachments and pressure areas, which improve control of premolar extrusion and anterior intrusion for more predictable deep bite treatments.
Precision aligner bite ramps are also being made available to disocclude the posterior teeth, providing improved efficiency in deep bite treatments.
These new features will be available on all Invisalign treatment options at no additional cost to trained providers worldwide in the first quarter of 2014.
John Graham, Align Technology's vice-president, marketing and chief marketing officer, said: "We're pleased to introduce this set of innovative features that addresses such a big part of our customers' practices and that will help drive increased utilisation of Invisalign over time."
Earlier this week, the company welcomed Zelko Relic as its new vice-president of research and development, a role that will see him guiding the creation of new new and enhanced products for the Invisalign range.
