Roche announces changes to board of directors

10th December 2013

Roche has announced the list of proposed nominees for its board of directors, with re-election set to take place at its next annual general meeting on March 4th 2014.

The refreshed make-up of the board will include Andre Hoffman, Dr Andrea Oeri, Professor Dr Pius Baschera, Professor Sir John Irving Bell, Paul Bulcke, Dr Christoph Franz, Dame DeAnne Julius, Dr Arthur Levinson, Dr Severin Schwan, Peter Voser and Professor Dr Beatrice Weder di Mauro.

Dr Franz has been proposed for election as chairman of the board, while William Burns – a member of the board since 2010 – has already announced that he will not be standing for re-election.

Roche chairman Franz Humer said: "As a longstanding member of the executive committee, successful head of the pharmaceuticals division and as a board member, William Burns has made significant contributions to the success of Roche."

In October 2013, the company announced its financial results for the first nine months of the year, during which it achieved year-on-year growth of six percent.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801670587-ADNFCR
