Lab M launches Listeria Express Enrichment Broth
Lab M has announced the launch of Listeria Express Enrichment (LEE) Broth, a selective enrichment medium with multiple applications.
The latest addition to Lab M's portfolio has been developed to provide improved growth rates of listeria over traditional selective enrichment media options.
Lab M's broth enhances the expression of target antigens for most commercially available immunological test methods, while maintaining suppression of non-target organisms. Thanks to the blending of selective components directly into the medium, supplementation is not needed.
It is formulated to stimulate growth from a low number of organisms in the original sample, making it easier to achieve the high levels required for further testing using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay or polymerase chain reaction methods.
The company said: "Lab M's new LEE Broth adds to the company's extensive range of media for the detection and isolation of listeria."
This comes after the firm expanded its commercial capabilities with the appointment of Wendy Martindale as its new director of sales and marketing last month.
