Roche and Kapa Biosystems announce new commercial partnership

Roche has announced a new collaboration with Kapa Biosystems that will see the two companies allying to provide an optimised next-generation sequencing (NGS) target enrichment workflow solution to customers.

Kapa Biosystems will be responsible for the custom manufacturing of NGS library preparation products that will then be distributed to customers by Roche NimbleGen. The new offering combines Kapa's Library Preparation Kits with Roche NimbleGen's sequence capture products.

Users will be able to benefit from a complete workflow coverage prior to sequencing, facilitating work with low DNA quantity or quality.

In addition to the Kapa Library Preparation Kits, Roche NimbleGen has confirmed that it will introduce other reagents in this offering to support the target enrichment workflow.

Roche NimbleGen is a life science-focused subsidiary of Roche that specialises in target enrichment probe pools for DNA sequencing.
