BBI announces new board and staff additions

Bruin Biometrics (BBI) has announced that two new board members will join the company in an expansion of the executive team.

Jeff Greiner comes to the company after spending 18 years leading Advanced Bionics, a medical device organisation specialising in the development of spinal cord stimulators and cochlear implants. 

It was recently was sold for over $3 billion to Boston Scientific and Sonova.

The second new member of the BBI board is Eve Kurtin, who has two decades' experience an operating executive and investor in healthcare. 

BBI chief executive Martin Burns commented: "We have been extremely diligent about finding the right people who understand BBI's strategy and also have the talent to execute upon BBI's business goals. 

He added that the combined team has now launched more than 30 medical products and technologies and the group is committed to solving pressing clinical challenges.

Four other members of staff have also been added by BBI, with Rob Pecsar joining as vice-president of research and development after launching 18 medical products with the likes of Alaris Medical Systems, Cardinal Health, CareFusion, Gen-Probe, IMED, and Infrasonics, Inc.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801676549-ADNFCR
