Agilent Technologies launches new spectroscopy solutions

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of two advanced new additions to its expanding range of spectroscopy solutions.

The 7900 Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer represents a complete overhaul of the older 7700 series, offering unprecedented matrix tolerance, enhanced trace-level detection and the widest dynamic range of any quadrupole device of its kind.

Meanwhile, the 4200 Microwave Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometer is a novel entry-level elemental spectroscopy offering, providing safe, economical, robust and reliable performance, as well as various ease of use benefits.

The two products are billed as being among the most sophisticated and user-friendly elemental analysis technologies available.

Philip Binns, Agilent's vice-president of spectroscopy products, said: "At Agilent we continue to introduce new-to-market technologies across our platforms, enabling our many customers to expand their labs' capabilities and simplify their workflows."

This comes after the firm launched the third version of its Intelligent System Emulation Technology for its liquid chromatography platforms last month.
