Open Road appoints senior consultant to healthcare practice

Open Road has announced the appointment of experienced PR professional Amna Ahmad as a senior consultant within its healthcare practice.

Ms Ahmad joins the agency after a five-year stint with FleishmanHillard, where she worked with high-profile clients such as the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the World Hepatitis Alliance, the American Pharmaceutical Group and Pfizer.

She was elected vice-chair of the Association of Professional Political Consultants' young consultants committee last year and has also worked with Edelman, BBC Current Affairs and MP Charles Kennedy during her career.

Her experience will prove a valuable asset to Open Road's healthcare team, which has seen considerable growth over the last few years.

This comes after Alexa Knight, formerly of Hanover, was appointed as head of the Open Road healthcare team last September.
