Mast announces schedule for BSMT annual meeting
Mast has announced its plans to attend the British Society for Microbial Technology (BSMT) annual meeting, which will take place at Colindale, London on May 16th 2014.
Centred on the topic of antibiotic resistance, the event will address critical issues contributing to the prevalence of multidrug resistant bacteria, with UK and international experts set to share their insights and experience.
Key speakers include deputy chief medical officer for England John Watson and Professor Neil Woodford, head of Public Health England's Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections Reference Unit.
Technical representatives from Mast will be available throughout the meeting to discuss the company's extensive portfolio of relevant products, including the Mastdiscs combi range.
These are combination discs manufactured in matched pairs for the positive detection of and differentiation of resistance mechanisms including AmpC, ESBL and carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae.
Mast recently attended the Medica 2013 event in Dusseldorf, where it received a positive reaction to the Mastdiscs range from attendees.
