Elanco’s Comfortis tablets receive expert recommendations

Elanco has announced results from a new study showing the high esteem in which its Comfortis flea control tablets are held by animal health experts.

The research was conducted among key opinion leaders at a recent European dermatology conference and revealed that for almost 90 percent of leading European dermatologists regard Comfortis as their first choice for flea control.

Comfortis is an oral tablet that starts killing fleas in 30 minutes and remains effective for a full month. It does not interfere with other treatments and minimises chances of allergic reactions, among other benefits.

One of the experts present at the event praised the product for its "assured reliability" in terms of its fast action, effectiveness and duration of activity.

Anna Jackson, national veterinary manager at Elanco Companion Animal Health, said: "It's fantastic to receive such strong endorsements from some of the leading dermatologists in Europe and this underlines the benefits of using Comfortis for flea control."

This comes after the company launched Trifexis, a new multipurpose therapy that protects dogs against three of the most common types of parasite, towards the end of last year.
