CareFusion reports growth in Q2 2014
CareFusion has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2014, which represented a successful period for the company.
During the three months ending on December 31st 2013, the firm's revenue total came to $922 million (565.58 million pounds), with the success of its procedural solutions business offsetting a decline for its medical systems unit. Revenue rose by one percent year on year.
The quarter saw the company secure a record number of committed contracts in the dispensing technologies business line, while expanding its procedural solutions pipeline.
Recent acquisitions of Sendal and Vital Signs will help CareFusion to expand its scale globally and positions it well for long-term growth.
Kieran Gallahue, chairman and chief executive officer of CareFusion, said: "Our team executed well during the quarter, with continued strength across the board in procedural solutions and in the infusion systems business line."
The organisation is currently partway through a three-year strategic plan focused on simplification and investment initiatives.
