Align Technology achieves record financial performance in 2013
Align Technology has published its financial results for the fourth and final quarter of 2013, a period of record-breaking success for the company.
During the last three months of the year, the firm achieved a total net revenue of $178.3 million (109.36 million pounds), up by 24.8 percent year on year. For the full year, its revenue figure was $660.2 million, a 17.9 percent increase on 2012. This was Align's most successful year ever.
Highlights of the period included the launch of the Invisalign Outcome Simulator and the SmartTrack clear aligner material, as well as the release of the new iTero imaging system as a single hardware platform.
It also completed key acquisitions, introduced the Realine product in partnership with Henry Schein Dental and announced the upcoming release of Invisalign G5 innovations.
Thomas Prescott, Align's president and chief executive officer, said: "We're pleased to have delivered better than expected revenue, operating margins and earnings, driven by strong Invisalign growth from our international doctors in Europe and Asia Pacific."
Additionally, the firm announced last week that it will soon be launching ClinCheck Pro, a next-generation Invisalign treatment software tool.
