Agilent appoints vice-president and treasurer
Agilent Technologies has announced the appointment of Guillermo Gualino as its new vice-president and treasurer.
Mr Gualino, the company's former assistant treasurer, has been with Agilent since 2011. He has held positions of increasing responsibility across the corporate, financial consulting and venture capital sectors, with previous employers including Flextronics International, EY and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He succeeds Robert Cantrell, who is moving to Keysight Technologies, the new electronic measurement company that will be formed by the separation of Agilent into two publicly traded companies.
Agilent's senior vice-president and chief financial officer Didier Hirsch said: "I am confident in his abilities to help us shape the financial profile and structure of the new Agilent as we become a company focused on the life sciences, diagnostics and applied markets."
The separation of Agilent is expected to take place in November 2014. Keysight will manage Agilent's current electronic measurement portfolio, while the life sciences, diagnostics and applied businesses will continue to be run under the Agilent name.
