Carestream Dental’s CS 3000 to work with Lava Ultimate Restorative

Carestream Dental has announced that its CS 3000 milling machine is to be upgraded with the addition of compatibility with Lava Ultimate Restorative.

The resin nano ceramic material's manufacturer 3M Espe has approved Carestream Dental to add cross-compatibility between CS 3000 and its own product, based on the proven benefits of the milling machine.

CS 3000 enables practitioners to mill aesthetic and anatomically accurate restorations in a single appointment. It features a compact design and quiet, vibration-free milling, meaning practitioners can use the machine anywhere.

Meanwhile, Lava Ultimate Restorative is designed using nanotechnology and offers a combination of durability, polish retention and gentleness to opposing teeth, providing excellent aesthetics and strength.

Edward Shellard, chief marketing officer and director of business development for Carestream Dental, said: "Our partnership with 3M Espe further expands the variety of materials that practitioners can use with the CS 3000, enabling us to better accommodate doctors' preferences."

This comes after the firm's multi-award-winning CS 8100 panoramic system was named as the top panoramic imaging system for 2014 in The Dental Advisor magazine last month.
