Welch Allyn announces partnership with EarlySense

26th February 2014

Welch Allyn has this week announced a strategic partnership with EarlySense.

The agreement, signed in early 2013, will soon see the two medical device manufacturers' respective clients able to benefit from both companies' ranges of previously standalone products.

For example, healthcare groups are to gain access to integrated solutions that combine EarlySense's respiratory and heart rate monitoring technologies with Welch Allyn's Connex Clinical Surveillance System (CSS).

"During this past year we have worked very hard to prepare for this focused and capable product expansion by integrating EarlySense capabilities into the Welch Allyn Connex CSS solution," commented the former's chief executive officer Avner Halperin.

Stephen F Meyer, president and chief executive officer of Welch Allyn, said the integrated solutions would cover "a large spectrum of needs", giving healthcare decision-makers solutions to a multitude of challenges in patient care.

He added they would also help prevent adverse events such as patient deterioration, falls and pressure ulcers.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801697878-ADNFCR
