Nutricia reveal extent of corporate social responsibility programme
Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition staff raised over 11,000 pounds and devoted more than 600 hours to volunteering last year.
The company is part of the Danone group and makes community engagement a key part of its business performance.
Its corporate social responsibility programme asks staff to support both local and national community projects and any related charities to help fulfil Nutricia's goal of bringing 'Medical Nutrition for All Who Need It'.
This led to more than 200 members of staff, based in the Trowbridge and Ealing sites, working for charities and participating in fundraising activities.
Kate Hall, external affairs manager for Nutricia, said: "Our corporate social responsibility programme encourages everyone to support local community projects and related charities, which in turn benefits our business, our people and our community."
She added in hindsight it was amazing to see how much the company's workers had managed to achieve in one year.
