Hill-Rom enlists partners for integrated hand hygiene solution
Hill-Rom, Gojo and TeleTracking Technologies have agreed a three-way partnership to develop a new hand hygiene compliance solution.
According to the companies, hand hygiene is a "straightforward and effective method" of preventing hospital-acquired infections. However, many organisations struggle to reach even 50 percent compliance with recommended protocols.
The new solution will continually monitor the patient care environment, drawing from Hill-Rom and TeleTracking Technologies' expertise in clinical workflow and real-time patient flow, respectively.
It will remind key personnel about critical handwashing events, providing additional data so hospitals can attain their sustainability targets.
Gojo, the company behind Purell hand sanitiser, will co-market the product.
"The Hill-Rom Hand Hygiene Compliance Solution helps hospitals address significant challenges they face responding to regulatory requirements," commented Adam McMullin, vice-president and general manager for Hill-Rom Clinical Workflow Solutions.
