Thermo Fisher Scientific unveils new products at Pittcon 2014
Thermo Fisher Scientific has unveiled a series of new product innovations at Pittcon 2014, the annual life science industry conference in Pittsburgh that is taking place this week.
New offerings from the Thermo Scientific, Unity Lab Services and Fisher Scientific brands have all been showcased for the first time, spanning a wide range of applications.
These include an updated version of the gold-standard Thermo Scientific Chromeleon 7.2 Chromatography Data System, the miniature Thermo Scientific picoSpin 80 NMR spectrometer and the Thermo Scientific VersaCool Refrigerated Circulating Bath.
Its new DXRxi Raman imaging microscope, Virtuoso Vial Identification System and Instant Connect Helium Saver Module are also being demonstrated, alongside a number of mass spectrometry innovations.
Marc Casper, president and chief executive officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "Faster analysis, more accurate results and the knowledge gained by translating data can give our customers a significant advantage in today's competitive marketplace."
Thermo Fisher Scientific enjoyed a record-breaking business performance in the fourth quarter of 2013 and expects to achieve further growth this year, thanks to the recent acquisition of Life Technologies.
