Beiersdorf confirms strong fiscal results for 2013
Beiersdorf has announced its finalised fiscal results for 2013, during which it achieved solid year-on-year growth.
The company's sales came to 6.14 billion euros (5.08 billion pounds), up by 1.7 percent in nominal terms and 7.2 percent in terms of organic sales growth, with both its consumer and tesa businesses contributing to this improvement.
In 2014, the firm expects group sales to increase by four to six percent and to deliver a slight improvement in its earnings margin compared to last year.
Stefan Heidenreich, chief executive officer of Beiersdorf, said: "2013 was an important and successful year for Beiersdorf. The group has made gains in market share, increased sales and improved its earnings. Beiersdorf is back on a sustainable growth track."
It comes after the firm recently began implementing its Blue Agenda business strategy, involving internal reorganisation efforts and several key rebranding efforts. In January, it introduced a revamped version of its corporate logo, replacing its previous branding after 35 years.
