Hospira names new medical devices division head
Hospira has announced the appointment of David Endicott to the newly-created role of president for medical devices.
Mr Endicott will take up this position on March 10th 2014 and will assume responsibility for establishing a fully-integrated device organisation, leading commercial, research and development, manufacturing and related support functions.
He will be tasked with continuing to advance the company's product pipeline, execute its device strategy and drive global growth, while also serving as a member of the senior leadership team.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Endicott was employed by Allergan, where he served in a number of key management roles over a number of years.
Michael Ball, chief executive officer of Hospira, said: "With his impressive track record in delivering strong results across all business functions, we're confident David will successfully lead our dual imperatives to execute our device strategy and drive global growth."
In 2013, the firm's adjusted net sales total for the full year came to $4.1 billion (2.45 billion pounds), up by 0.4 percent on last year.
