Unilever selects seven companies for Go Global project
Unilever has announced that it will be partnering with seven innovative digital companies as part of its new Go Global initiative.
The project gives up-and-coming digital businesses the opportunity to expand their international profile by conducting work in partnership with seven of Unilever's global flagship brands, a move that will bring mutual benefits.
Winning companies such as Africori, NewAer, Songza, LifeSum and Thoughtful Media Group will partner with Clear, Hellmann's, Magnum, Pro.Activ/Flora, Surf, Vaseline and Unilever Project Sunlight on forthcoming digital marketing campaigns.
Each winning firm will receive $100,000 (60,100 pounds) in cash plus mentorship in exchange for a customised marketing pilot in the area of content, mobile or connected devices. These will take place in markets across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
Olivier Garel, head of Unilever Ventures, said: "After a very careful process of assessing a high calibre of proposals, we have chosen the companies that we feel are the best fit for our brands."
This comes after the firm allied with the International Fund for Agricultural Development last month on a new project to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers around the world.
