Philips wins design award for Sonicare DiamondClean Black Edition

14th March 2014

Philips has announced that its Sonicare DiamondClean Black Edition electric toothbrush has won a prestigious iF design award at a ceremony in Munich last month.

The event saw the company walk away with a total of 47 accolades, including an unprecedented four Gold awards from across its entire product range. The Sonicare DiamondClean Black Edition device was one of these.

A special edition version of Philips' premium power toothbrush brand, the black Sonicare DiamondClean brush was designed for sophisticated users seeking a distinguished design. Its features include five distinct cleaning modes, a slim, lightweight handle, and numerous benefits in terms of plaque removal and tooth whitening.

The iF design awards have been presented for more than 60 years, recognising outstanding achievements in design, in terms of the product itself and its accompanying packaging and communication.

Sean Carney, chief design officer at Philips, said: "Our focus on design excellence and creating value for people shines through in the record-breaking number of design awards received. Philips designers always strive for superior quality, form and sustainability in our products in order to meet people’s needs and desires."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801703464-ADNFCR
