British Skin Foundation enlists Pegasus to help appeal launch
The British Skin Foundation has appointed Pegasus to help with the launch of its It Takes 7 fundraising campaign, it has been announced today (March 19th).
According Gorkana, the agency has been briefed to help drive corporate and individual donations, as well as position the foundation as the leading charity for research into skin cancer.
It Takes 7 has been designed to focus on the key statistic relating to the severity of skin cancer and places the sufferer and their family at the heart of the campaign. Social media is expected to play a significant part in the campaign.
Chris Webb, associate director at Pegasus, said: "Malignant melanoma, the most dangerous form of the disease, takes more than 2,500 lives each year, that's seven people every day."
The firm was chosen ahead of five other healthcare-focused agencies, with the British Skin Foundation's communications director Hermione Lawson stating the organisation was "really impressed" with how Pegasus grasped the brief.
