Boston Scientific receives Shingo award
Boston Scientific has won a Shingo award from the Shingo Institute, which is part of the Jon M Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.
The accolade is for the company's efforts to deliver world-class results and demonstration of an ongoing commitment to a culture of operational excellence at its Maple Grove manufacturing facility.
"Receipt of the Shingo Silver Medallion signifies an organisation's strong use of tools, techniques and mature systems for business improvement," said Robert Miller, executive director at the Shingo Institute.
Dale Hentges, vice-president of Maple Grove operations at Boston Scientific, added the company is proud of its continued and sustained efforts to improve quality, reduce costs and research innovative new products across its global operation.
The firm stated it understands the challenges in the healthcare sector and looks for opportunities to leverage Boston Scientific's capabilities to deliver pioneering solutions across the care continuum.
