EKF Diagnostics launches new site for Lactate Scout Plus device

EKF Diagnostics has announced the launch of a new product resource website for its recently-launched Lactate Scout Plus analyser device.

Housing numerous guides and scientific papers on lactate testing, the site highlights the different applications for lactate, awareness of which has risen since the launch of the device earlier this year.

The analyser has seen increased interest from a broad range of users in both sports and medical science, with uptake of the product being particularly notable in the former industry, where testing of lactate is an established parameter for athletic performance diagnostics.

It incorporates haematocrit compensation applications and beneficial features such as an integrated Step Test function, Bluetooth connectivity, a stopwatch and countdown timer.

Katja Lemburg, product manager at EKF Diagnostics, said: "Since its launch in January 2014, the new version of our Lactate Scout Plus has generated a significant increase in enquiries from end-users – up 380 percent compared to the same period in 2013."

This comes after the firm recently attended the American Association of Cancer Research annual meeting, where it demonstrated the benefits of its PointMan DNA enrichment technology to fellow attendees.
